I am loving MBC's latest K-drama, Personal Taste (aka Personal Preference) starring Lee Min-ho and Sohn Ye-jin. Both have wonderful chemistry in this romantic comedy and despite its flaws, I am totally hooked! I enjoyed Lee Min-ho in Boys Over Flowers and this is his newest role. Playing a young, successful architect who is mistaken for being gay, rather than correcting the misconception, Lee's character, Jin-ho begrudgingly "plays along", in an effort to not get the girl, but rather to use the girl to gain access to the house she is living in that was designed by her father who is currently abroad teaching in the UK in hopes of being awarded the chief architect position for an arts center project to begin shortly.
The house is no ordinary house and Jin-ho wants to use it as his inspiration for his proposed design for the arts center. An opportunity presents itself for him to rent a room in the house--you see, Sohn's character Kae-in is in dire need of money and needs to raise some fast to get out of a precarious situation before her father returns from the UK. Jin-ho doesn't really lie; he just doesn't make it clear to those who thinks he is gay, that he's not gay. It's a great ride and I'm loving every minute of it (not to mention how gorgeous Lee Minho is in this series--wow, what eye candy!). I'm on Episode 6 and just about finished with this Episode and waiting on Episodes 7 and 8 to be English-subbed. I'm currently watching it on DramaCrazy.net and I highly recommend it! This is definitely one that I will buy on DVD once the series ends.
